The Kalamazoo River Watershed Council is fortunate to have sponsorships from many local businesses and organizations interested in environmental sustainability. The Kalamazoo River and its watershed are important natural resources to our region, supporting a healthy environment, healthy residents, vibrant communities, and sustainable economies.
KRWC events and activities are designed to inspire stewardship for clean water, encourage equitable access to the health benefits of water-based recreation, and to grow a shared commitment to restoring and protecting the aquatic ecosystem for all in our community.
If your business or organization would like to learn more about getting involved and making a difference in our watershed, please contact Doug by email or by phone at (269) 350-6158.
We are grateful to the following businesses for their support in 2024 at the Watershed Benefactor level:
Bell’s Brewery
Stryker
Georgia-Pacific
Your business can support one or several of KRWC’s annual events or provide general support to our important core functions:
- Kanoe the Kazoo – a summer canoe trip series on the Kalamazoo River, its tributaries, and inland lakes of the watershed
- Krazy for the Kazoo – a volunteer river clean-up day that takes place the first Saturday in October
- Kalamazoo Water Festival – a public celebration of our local water resources with hands-on science and entertainment
