Trowbridge Dam Restrictions
Hydraulic dredging to remove PCB-contaminated sediment is underway as of spring 2025, and river-goers are urged to avoid the stretch from Bittersweet Mountain to Trowbridge Dam. Officials are indicating that the boat launch at 26th Street will be closed until Summer 2027, and recreational users should exit the river at public access areas located at Pine Creek and near Bittersweet Mountain.

Rain Barrel Sales are now available! Rain barrels are a great way to conserve and reduce stormwater runoff, save money, and support healthier gardens.

You can choose to have your rain barrel delivered directly to your home or bundle ordering with us! To have your rain barrel painted by a Kalamazoo artist, opt for a painted barrel in the order form. Then join us on June 5th from 4-7pm at 1523 Riverview Dr. for our Rain Barrel Pick-Up & Painting Event! We’ll have local artists live painting the rain barrels, music, yard games, and pizza!
