Kalamazoo Area: Krazy for the Kazoo “Trash Bash”
Event Description: Come together and take part in cleaning up the Kalamazoo River Watershed with options to participate, on shore, in the river, and in portage creek. Clean-up the watershed while the water levels are low and the currents are slow; Fall is the perfect time to care for the river.
Join us for cleanup 10am-12:30pm, you choose where you’d like to participate: walk on shore on the KRVT from Mayor’s River Waterfront Park to Verburg Park, wade in Portage Creek from Stockbridge towards Upjohn Park, or paddle on the Kalamazoo River by kayak or canoe from Mayor’s Riverfront Park to Verburg.
Join us after the cleanup at our office (1523 Riverview Dr.) where we’ll have food from Mi Lindo Michoacán & yard games! All participants will be entered in a raffle drawing where they have two opportunities to win a gift card from a local Kalamazoo restaurant!
